GRMT Practitioner Training is evidence-based, structured, and relatively brief, providing trainees with the essential knowledge, confidence, and competence to deliver GRMT safely and effectively. Training is currently available in Taiwan, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada, with other locations available by invitation.

GRMT training is ideal for health professionals seeking to offer clients the transformational power of breathwork through a clinically oriented, research-supported, and highly reliable method. It is designed for clinical mental health counsellors, psychologists, social workers, and related practitioners who value a holistic approach that supports deep healing and meaningful change.

The Guided Respiration Mindfulness Therapy Training Process

Guided Respiration Mindfulness Therapy is a clinical approach to breathwork guided by a standardized, manualized protocol. GRMT Practitioner Training follows this same structure. The basic practitioner training is evidence-based, with published research demonstrating the effectiveness of the training process.

LEVEL ONE TRAINING (certified to conduct individual sessions) is highly experiential and delivered in three phases:

Phase 1 – Intensive 4-Day Training Workshop

A foundational four-day immersion (typically delivered as one block) introducing the GRMT model, theory, and structured clinical method.

Phase 2 – Supervised Trainee Practice

A series of live trainee-to-trainee practice sessions. Each session is video-recorded and reviewed with supervision using the GRMT Competence Scale, supporting trainees to build high confidence and competence in delivering the manual-based intervention.

Phase 3 – Supervised Work With Volunteer Clients

Trainees conduct a series of GRMT sessions with volunteer clients. All sessions are video-recorded and used for supervision, refinement, and feedback.

A Note on the Experiential Nature of Training

GRMT Practitioner Training will almost certainly be life-enhancing for trainees, often producing meaningful personal insights and shifts across physical, emotional, and spiritual dimensions. Many clinicians describe the experience as both professionally strengthening and personally transformative.
